Who We Are

Nick Quandt grew up on his family’s farm in west central Iowa, learning the values of hard work, honesty, accountability, and the appreciation of a job well done. His construction career began as a college summer job, working as a laborer/framing carpenter on a small crew near where he was raised. From there, he quickly took up all different aspects of carpentry as a frame to finish carpentry, and was specifically trained in high-detail finish trim carpentry.

In 2009 he started QB Homes based on these same values and skills. From there, QB Homes flourished and grew into Quandt Built Homes— providing custom home building service all across the state of Iowa.

Our Process

There is a big difference between building a house and building a home. Quandt Built Homes strives to make that experience as enjoyable, stress free, and memorable in the best possible way. Our goal in this process is to exceed the expectations of the homeowner and we are honored every time a client selects us to build their home, knowing that it is our responsibility to make their dreams reality.

At Quandt Built Homes, we are hands-on with personal contact with you, via in person meetings, emails, texts, and Zoom calls, whatever works with your lifestyle. We adapt our build process to accommodate everyone’s different schedules and desires. Some clients have more time than others for walk-throughs and selection meetings— we try to make sure we do things along the way to fit their schedules, not ours.
